Five classic books you should have read by now: (in no particular order)

1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (whether you're male or female, you should have read this by now)
Why? Because every woman loves this classic romance. Guys, you should read this to better understand women. Girls you should read this because it's the greatest love story ever written

2. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
Why? Because it gives us a chance to know what the world would be like without being able to read.

3. 1984 by George Orwell
Why? If no other reason compells you, you'll at least be amazed at some of the connections between then and now. Big Brother is always watching...and reading.

4. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Why? Because it's been grossly changed over time, and the original story is so much better. Another reason is, of course, that it's one of the first and greatest "horror" stories of all time.

5. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Why? The imagry is amazing. Fitzgerald really connects the reader with the character and the times.
