There' s a reason that "The Road" won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. That reason is that it's darn good. Really really good.
The story line is interesting, especially since nothing is completely explained. But the writing is absolutely fantastic.
"The Road" is a post-apocalyptic novel and details the life of a father and son trying to survive.
At first I wasn't sure how I was going to like it. I don't generally like books that don't use proper punctuation (especially quotation marks). But with this one, I just thought it added to the story. Proper punctuation is just one more than that ended with the end of the world.
I haven't seen the movie yet. But I would like to.
Regardless of if you've seen the movie or not, this book is a definite must read.
