I think The Outsider is one of those books that should be discussed. Discussing it with a group would have made it more interesting.
Unfortunately, I don't know that it's good enough to recommend to my book club.
It made for interesting enough reading. It was just a bit boring for my taste. I was interested to see how it would turn out, but I wasn't enthralled.
And, unfortunately, the copy I had had some notes in the margins that signified what was coming. So that ruined it a bit for me.
This book was part of a bundle I checked out from my local library. They had a contest going where patrons could check out a pre-bundled group of 5 books that were all along a similar theme.
Then, you were entered into a drawing for free books. I saw this bundle, and thought that I'd give it a go. It gave me the chance to read some books I never would have read otherwise: The Outsider, 03, Gabriel's Gift, and The True Deceiver.
Thanks Auckland City Library for keeping my reading interesting.
