Not one of my favorite movies of all time, but Pirate Radio was still a fun one to watch. It tells the story of rock radio station that is anchored in the North Sea because they're not allowed to play rock on the radios in Great Britain.
The story weaves together a young man's quest for what-should-I-do-with-my-life, people trying to make a statement about what they believe in, and going for your dreams.
There are some definitely funny parts! And, the music is absolutely fantastic. It's all early British rock music. The acting is good all around.
The only thing that doesn't make this movie great, is that there's nothing spectacular about it. Everything is good, in fact a little better than good, but nothing that stands out as truly magnificent.
Be careful about watching it with kids though, it's full of sex and profanity (after all, it's British).
