Twilight

Starring: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart

Rating: 4

Obviously "Twilight" is based on the cult hit of the same name by Stephanie Meyer. If you read the book and enjoyed it, chances are you'll love the movie. But, if you haven't read the book yet, you might not fully understand the movie (at the very least you'll have some questions at the end).

I see so many reviews that say that the movie stinks and the only reason it's doing so well is because of the actors. Well, in my opinion, the actors are not that fabulously good looking. And, to be completely honest, I found Stewart's acting to be way below par. I expected more. But, I don't think it's completely the fault of the actors. I think that the bad acting was perpetuated by the not so great screen play. Billy Burke (Charlie) is great though -- the highlight of the acting.

Don't get me wrong. I liked the movie. I just thought the acting was not so great. The scenery was fantastic. The images were amazing. The story line was good, but as I said, the screen play could have been better. I look forward to the sequel, "New Moon". I think having a new director will be a nice change. Hopefully it will be better. "Twilight" had the chance to be a great movie, and it fell short. It's still good, and worth seeing (twice?), but it's not the stellar movie it had the potential to be.

I loved it. Not because of it as solely a movie, but because of it's tie in with the book. I loved the series, and wish there were more. At least there are more movies to come though!

Comments

seems likely that they will come out with a Twilight sequel pretty soon, there's a crazy lot of ticket sales at stake
