Knocked Up
2007
Starring: Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl, Paul Rudd, and Leslie Mann
Rating: 1.5
I was really excited to see this movie. I knew it was from some of the same people as The 40 Year Old Virgin, and I thought that movie was hilarious. However, when I finally saw (and believe me I've been wanting to see it from the time it came out in theaters) Knocked Up, I was highly disappointed.
Sure Knocked Up does have its funny moments, but they are few and far between. Most of the movie consists of two people yelling profanity at each other (remind anyone of The Break Up?) - but at least the people change. There are two couples in Knocked Up who constantly scream at each other. If this is how people treat each other, I don't want to be a part of it. I don't want to watch it, or be around it.
The best part of the whole movie is the 8 year old daughter of the couple. She's funny, cute, smart, and you know that's what an 8 year old is like. She makes you smile and laugh, and she makes you uncomfortable with her genuine curiosity questions.
If you want to know what all the fuss is over Knocked Up, go ahead and watch it. And if you find out what it is, let me know.
