I admit it. I chose this book by its title. What an awesome title!
Unfortunately, I don't think that the book lived up to it. I don't like whining. It's always been a pet peeve of mine. So, naturally, I don't like it when characters are big whiney babies.
And, that is how I felt about Dan, the main character in "Way of the Peaceful Warrior". Maybe he was just trying to portray it accurately. Maybe he wanted to convey his struggle.
I just could have done with a lot less complaining.
I am excited to watch the movie though, I think that it will be exciting to see how they adapted it (and in my mind it makes a better movie than book, which is REALLY rare thing for me to say.)
But, hey, it's hard to pass up a free book isn't it? (I got it off of a "take a book, leave a book" shelf. I left my copy of "Confessions of a Shopaholic." I hope whoever took it enjoyed it and passed it on!)
