Honestly, had I seen "The Marriage Bureau for Rich People" by: Farahad Zama sitting on a self waiting to be picked up and read, I probably wouldn't have. But since I'd received it as an advanced reader's copy (way back in spring 2009 - which is also when I read it...oops), I knew that I needed to give it a go.
Here's the thing. Two of the main characters are always referred to in titles. We never learned their first names. I find it rather difficult to associate / relate to a character whose name I don't even know.
Not only did Mr. and Mrs. never share their names, but their story was totally predictable.
The reason that I rated "The Marriage Bureau for Rich People" by: Farahad Zama so high was because it took place in India, and I love learning about different cultures. I definitely feel as if I learned something about the marriage rituals in India from reading this.
