I really enjoyed reading "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" by: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I liked that it was one of those books where I could pick it up, read something and then get back to it whenever I wanted. It made for a nice change.
At first I started reading the whole thing straight through, you know, how I normally read a book. But then I realized that in order to really appreciate "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes", I needed to take my time with it. In other words, for me it was better to read it one story at a time and then read something else in between.
The funny thing is though, that I didn't even know that they were coming out with a movie. I managed to finish the book about a week before the movie came out. Funny how that works out.
If you haven't read it yet, pick it up. You can read a story here and a story there and read it over the course of a day or a year, and it will still be just as good.
