The Punisher is punishing to watch
Starring: John Travolta and Thomas Jane
Usually, I love Marvel comic movie adaptations. So, I was surprised to have never even heard of "The Punisher" before it was on TV as a late night movie.
I was pretty excited when it started. I was even more excited when I saw that it stared John Travolta, and I just watched him in "Taking Pelham 123".
But, "The Punisher" was a big disappointment.
It felt like watching an unfinished movie. There was no character buy in at all. And it just felt disjointed. No character development, plot holes, and bad acting don't make for a good movie.
"The Punisher" is Castle (Jane), who retired from the FBI. On his last mission, son of Florida "boss", Saint (Travolta) is killed. Saint, of course, orders a hit on Castle, and his entire family. Castle survives and goes on a "justified" rampage killing Saint and his family. He needs to punish them, and others for injustice. Blah blah blah
