Number 5:
Click here to buy A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by: Mark Twain
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by: Mark Twain was a book I've been wanting to read since I was about 12 years old. It turns out that there was a reason I'd never read it.

Number 4:
Click here to buy The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao by: Junot Diaz
Seriously, how did The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by: Junot Diaz ever win a Pulitzer Prize?
Read my review of The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao by: Junot Diaz here to see what I thought, and why it's in my worst 5 books of the year.
Number 3:
Click here to buy Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by: Susanna Clarke if you dare
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by: Susanna Clarke. Ugh. I have no idea why "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell" got such great reviews. Everyone told me it was fantastic! It's like Harry Potter but for adults. Really?

Number 2:
Click here to buy Gulliver's Travels by: Jonathan Swift if you dare
Maybe I would have enjoyed Gulliver's Travels by: Jonathan Swift more had I read it with a group. I don't know, but I didn't care for it.
Read my review here if you're thinking of reading it yourself.
And my Number 1 absolute WORST book of 2009 is:
Click here to buy On Chesil Beach by: Ian McEwan if you dare
On Chesil Beach by: Ian McEwan was a little too much sex and way too little story for me.
Read my review here to see why I think it deserves to be the worst book I read in 2009.
