A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court
By: Mark Twain
1889; 480 pages
Rating: 1.5
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is a book I have been wanting to read since the Bill Cosby movie version came out. I absolutely loved that growing up. So, I was really excited when I finally checked it out from the library.
I was really disappointed. I thought the story was boring, and not at all exciting. It was one of those that I continued to read under the delusion that it had to get better - it simply couldn't get any worse. Well, I don't know if it got any worse or not, but it certainly never got any better.
It was especially disappointing since it was a Mark Twain book, and I've always enjoyed his other novels and short stories and pretty much everything else. Oh well, I guess nobody's perfect.
I wouldn't waste your time. There are so many amazing works of fiction out there that it doesn't make sense to read something that's bad.
