I have a few confessions to make. Many years ago, a friend of mine loaned me a copy of "A Kiss of Shadows". She told me that I would like it. However, at the time we were talking about vampires. I have a bit of an irrational fear of vampires. So, I borrowed the book from her. But, I never read it.
Yes, I'm hanging my head in shame.
Another confession I need to make is that I liked the book. Why do I feel that liking a book is confession worthy? Well, because this one is a bit on the smutty side. It's filled with sex, and I liked it anyway.
I don't know if I liked "A Kiss of Shadows" so much because I read it immediately after a book I disliked so much I couldn't finish. Or, if it really is that good. I tell you though, I will be buying the sequel.
Oh, and as far as buying the sequel...I got a copy of this book free through an Amazon Kindle promotion. And publishers think giving a book away for free is bad business. Well, this publisher just got more business from me than he would have if I would have had to buy the book.
"A Kiss of Shadows" by Laurell Hamilton is the story of an undercover fairy princess named Meredith. She's undercover because she's mortal, and her aunt is out to kill her.

Will her enemies be her saviors? Or will she wish she'd never run in the first place?
