Memoirs of a Geisha
Ok, I have to admit. I saw the movie before I read the book. I absolutely loved the movie, and the book was even more amazing. It is by far one of the best books I've read in a long long time. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. It has a lot of insight into the Japanese culture, and the life of a geisha. Also, it is one of those books that sucked me in so much that I forgot where I was. I love when that happens! The words create such amazing pictures, and it's such a fast read. I couldn't put it down.
