The Handmaid's Tale
by Margaret Atwood
(1998)
320 pages
Rating 4.5
I don't really know how, or want, to tell much about the plot. It would be too hard to without giving everything away. This book is wild. It was an absolutely fascinating read. There are so many connections between what happens in the book and what is happening in our current society.
I definitely recommend this book. And I'll read it again myself.

Weird book, huh? Crazy!

Other than the fact that I think Margaret Atwood totally copped out at the end of the story, and didn't really finish the book, this was a cool idea turned into a novel.
The life of a handmaid in this reality must have really sucked, huh? But then, when you're brainwashed into loving something, maybe that makes it tolerable, even if it is terrible?
