"Hairspray" is a really fun musical. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It has the right balance of good music, laughter, good acting, and an important moral (that isn't overdone). Pleasantly plump teenager Tracy Turnblad teaches 1962 Baltimore a thing or two about integration after landing a spot on a local TV dance show.
What can I say? Everyone should check out "Hairspray". I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard -- especially during a musical. And, holy dance numbers Batman.
Watch "Hairspray" if for no other reason than you get to see John Travolta as a woman.
