In the Bedroom was nominated for 5 Academy Awards (including best picture). I have no idea why. I have been wanting to see In the Bedroom for a long time. It turns out that there is a reason that I didn't. It is one of the slowest movies I've ever seen. I really tried to get into it, but the characters weren't doing it for me. Neither was the acting.

After 30 minutes of trying to watch the movie, and wanting it to get better, we turned it off. I was bored. Neither the storyline nor the characters were interesting me. I didn't care what happened to them. Maybe I didn't wait long enough for it to get good. But, if I'm not interested in a single thing after over half an hour, it's not worth it. We decided to watch another movie instead.
