Ratatouille
2007
Starring: Patton Oswalt and Lou Romano
Rating: 4.5
Remy is a young rat in the French countryside who arrives in Paris, only to find out that his cooking idol is dead. When he makes an unusual alliance with a restaurant's new garbage boy, the culinary and personal adventures begin despite Remy's family's skepticism and the rat-hating world of humans.
As someone who loves cooking, I think I was more prone to like "Ratatouille". However, I don't know anyone who didn't like it. The animation is fantastic, but what do you expect from Pixar? The story is cute and very entertaining.
The animated short that is before all Pixar films is particularly hilarious before "Ratatouille". I highly recommend that when you watch Remy learn that "anyone can cook" that you also watch "Lifted". You'll have a wonderful evening, and maybe even be inspired to try cooking a new dish for dinner.
