Smart People movie review
Starring: Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Ellen Page
"Smart People" is the story of a widowed professor and two unexpected people who enter his life: his adopted brother (who is trying to bum money off him) and a former student (who becomes his physician).
I guess I don't really understand this genre of films. It's the same genre that made "Margot at the Wedding" and "The Savages". I just don't get it. I don't want to spend two hours of my time watching dysfunctional people figure out their life (or, as in these examples, NOT figure out their life).
Don't waste your time with "Smart People". Even though it has the fairly "big" name cast, that does not necessarily make it a good movie.
