What a great movie! I loved The Golden Compass. It helps too though that I've read the book by Phillip Pullman. But I thought that Chris Weitz did an excellent job with the screenplay. The Golden Compass is the first in a trilogy, and I absolutely cannot wait until the next ones come out.

I thought that the film makes did an incredible job blending computer imaging and "real life". They also managed to capture some of the complex aspects of the book in a way that was obvious without being stated. Of course, they did make some changes for political reasons. And I can definitely understand that.

Please, go see The Golden Compass. You'll be glad that you did.
