The Nanny Diaries
2007
Starring: Scarlet Johansson, Laura Linney, and Alicia Keys
Rating: 4
While I'm not usually a fan of Scarlet Johansson, I think that she did a very fine job in The Nanny Diaries. I especially like the beginning of the movie, and the narration throughout the movie. It was a fun and unusual way to present a story, and it truly fit The Nanny Diaries.
The Nanny Diaries is a story of a recent college graduate, Annie, who decides that the best way to "find herself" is to become a nanny for a wealthy family in New York City. What she does find is a horrible boss, a strict no-dating clause, and a love for the child she nannies for. While all crumbles around her, she struggles to keep her job believing that she can save the marriage of the family she works for.
I would highly recommend that you see The Nanny Diaries if you have kids, want kids, or know any kids at all. This is truly a good movie with a fantastic message.
The Nanny Diaries movie is based on the book, The Nanny Diaries by Emma McLaughlin, and Nicola Kraus.Click here to purchase The Nanny Diaries
