I was amazed while reading "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" how much it was like Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland. I don't know why I was surprised. I think it was because I was expecting a bit too much of Carroll's famed linguistic talents (which I believe are really brought out in Through the Looking Glass - the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - which I will be reading soon).
As it is, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" is a pleasant story, one that I'm sure every child would enjoy. And, I'm also pretty sure that every adult would enjoy reading it to their (or a) child.
Sometimes I like reading kids books. They make me feel young at heart. And, I especially enjoy reading classic children's literature.
Why did it take me so long to read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"? I don't know. But, I can tell you why I read it now. Because it was free to read on my kindle. And I do love my kindle, and I love *free* even more.
Anyway, definitely pick up and read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". You'll be glad you did, even if you already know the basics of the story.
