What I loved most about reading Palace Circle was all the travel and scenery descriptions. The way she writes about Cairo makes me want to live there. But it wasn't just Cairo. She did a great job describing everywhere: Virginia, London, and Egypt.
I also liked how the separate story lines were woven together, and I felt connected to each one. But they were still able to maintain independence.
I certainly don't feel like it's the greatest novel ever, but I enjoyed it. I thought that the writing was a bit simplistic and a bit of the trashy-romance style. I would have liked to have seen a bit more depth in both the story and the characters. Overall, though, this was a good and entertaining read.
