Julie and Julia

I loved Julie and Julia. I instantly fell in love with the concept of cooking your way through a cookbook (but I love cooking and baking). I also liked that Julie ran one of the first food blogs - back in 2002. I recently started reading her original blog, and it's fun reading. It gives you a much more detailed version of her trials of going through Mastering the Art of French Cooking. But, if you don't want to read over 300 blog entries, you could also read her book based on her blog.

The movie ties in the storylines of both Julie Powell and Julia Child. I loved the way the two mirrored each other. And is there a better actress than Meryl Streep? Really? She's absolutely fantastic.

I highly recommend that anyone who likes food even a little bit, or blogging a little bit, see this movie. Just, don't go hungry.
