Based on the play by Oscar Wilde, An Ideal Husband follows Wilde's traditional twisting plot. I really enjoy Wilde's plays, so I thought that I would really enjoy it. And, with such a well known cast (ok, well well-known British character actors), I expected more from this movie.

Overall, the acting was good, but nothing outstanding. The screenplay was decent, but I guess I am just partial to seeing Wilde's plays done as plays.

If you really like Wilde's plays, chances are you'll like An Ideal Husband. But, if you don't, odds are, you'll wish you did something else with your time.
