Rating: 5
For those of you who know and love classic fairy tales, then this is a show for you. You'll get to see your favorite characters from Cinderella, to Jack, and Little Red Riding Hood, but you'll also get to meet a few new ones.
This Broadway musical intertwines the lives of the fairy tale characters and shows us how happily ever after came about, and what came next. The morals that are present (but understanded) are fantastically done. Every time I watch this I pick up on new subtle lines and actions that I missed before, but are important to character development. There are also some subtle nuances that one may miss the first time through, so be sure to watch it at least twice.
Bernadette Peters is amazing as the witch, but it is Joanna Gleason who steals the show with her amazing portrayal of the Baker's Wife.
Definitely watch Into the Woods. You'll be sure to be in for a fun evening.
