Well after watching Monster House, I decided that when watching a kid's movie, it's almost always better to watch it together with a kid or two. Go borrow a niece or nephew or a neighbor's kid if you don't have one of your own.

While there are some predominately kid movies that are very adult friendly, this isn't necessarily one of them. The idea was there, but it wasn't really supported very well. This may not make a difference to a child though. But from my perspective, it might just make kids a bit more afraid of some things or some people. I didn't see that it really resolved the points that might frighten some children. I'm not saying that you shouldn't watch it, or that your kids shouldn't. I'm just saying watch it together.
