"The Great Debaters" is based on a true story of a Negro College who is invited to debate Harvard in the 1950s. "The Great Debaters" is an interesting look into pre-Civil Rights America. There is some good character development, but the plot is predictable.
I enjoyed the movie, but more from a learning perspective than from a getting pleasure from standpoint.
If you want to know a little bit of history, and see a miniscule glimpse into what live was like in America before the Civil Rights Movement, then watch "The Great Debaters".
