Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

I loved Transformers. The first one. This one, I wasn't so crazy about. I thought that there was way too much action and not enough plot. They had such potential in making a sequel, but they just didn't live up to it. Also, isn't this supposed to be a kids' movie? In the sense that it's based on children's toys, shouldn't it be at least mildly appropriate to take your kids to? I didn't think it was this time around.

Again, my biggest complaint is that it is all action (sometimes beyond what is even necessary), and they didn't spend nearly enough time explaining the situations. I know several people, myself included, who walked away with questions about the movie that should have been answered while watching it.

If you liked the first one, you'll probably see (or already have seen) this one. If, however, you haven't managed to see the first one, and thought you'd go see the second, don't. Go see Transformers, but leave Revenge of the Fallen alone.
