I was a bit skeptical at first about reading Lamb. However, I felt a bit obligated to since an acquaintance of mine bought it for me, since it's his favorite book. I'm not sure exactly why. Maybe I thought that it would make fun of the story of Christ, maybe it's just because I didn't like the name "Biff".
Luckily, Lamb tells the story in a very funny, non-offensive way. I liked how the life of Joshua (known as Jesus to most Christians) was filled in from the age of 12-30. It was something I always wondered about.
Moore did a great job of incorporating humor along with the lessons and sadness that go with the story everyone already knows. But, he also added to it. I recommend that you read Lamb, but do try to read it with an open mind, because all things are better that way.
