Marley and Me

If you haven't read my review of "Marley and Me" (the book by John Grogan), you should probably read that first before reading this review of the movie.

If I was disappointed in the book for lack of specific Marley stories, I was even more disappointed when I watched the movie. I thought that they left out some of the funniest parts of the book. I definitely wished they would have been more specific when making the movie.

I don't think that they did a bad job necessarily. I just think it could have been better. They could have made it funnier, warmer, and even a bit sadder. I know...that's pretty sad.

That being said, I thought that the acting and the filming were good. It's an ok movie, but it's one I would wait for on video rather than seeing in the movie theater.
